New app allows consumers to create multiple shopping lists, view thousands of recipes, quickly access product information and much more.

EDINA, Minn. (January 23, 2013) — Lunds & Byerlys launched their first app in both the iPhone App Store and the Google Play Store. The new app is designed to make grocery shopping a little easier by bringing the store experience to customers no matter where they are.

Everyone who downloads the app between January 24, 2013 and February 6, 2013 will have access to an exclusive in-app code for a free movie rental from a Redbox kiosk inside any Lunds or Byerly’s. This special offer code is valid through February 6, 2013.

The new Lunds & Byerlys app gives consumers quick access to:

PRODUCTS – View product selection, including hundreds of weekly sale items. Also, see department or aisle info for products and share deals with family and friends.
SHOPPING LISTS – Create multiple shopping lists. Add items to any list by searching, manually entering or scanning a product’s barcode using the in-app feature.
RECIPES – View thousands of recipes and add ingredients to a shopping list with the tap of a button.
SPECIAL OFFERS – Access to app-exclusive offers and contests, such as immediate scratch-to-win giveaways.
STORE INFO – View hours, services and contact info for every store and call any location with one touch. Consumers can also find a Lunds or Byerly’s closest to their current location.
