Lunds & Byerlys LAUNCHES NEW ONLINE SHOPPING SERVICE OFFERING DELIVERY AND STORE PICKUP

Web site features nearly 15,000 products all offered online at the same price as in Lunds & Byerlys supermarkets

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Lunds & Byerlys have launched a new online shopping service featuring an extensive selection of groceries from every department in their supermarkets – all offered online at the same price as in their supermarkets.

Nearly 15,000 products, ranging from gourmet and organic food to fresh produce and frozen products, are offered through Lunds & Byerlys Online Shopping, which can be accessed by visiting the company’s new Web site at www.LundsandByerlys.com.

This new online service provides customers the convenience of purchasing groceries from their home, office or even outside Minnesota.  With a simple click of the mouse, customers choose whether they would like to pick up their order from a selected supermarket or have it delivered to a home or business in the Twin Cities area.

Unlike other online grocery services, Lunds & Byerlys Online Shopping requires that a customer (or another designated person) is available to accept the delivery to ensure product freshness and exceptional service.

Delivery and store pickup are offered seven days a week for a low, flat fee regardless of the order size or delivery destination.  The fee for delivery is $9.95, while the store pickup fee is $4.95.  The location of the delivery destination or the store selected for pickup determines the specific days and times that service is available.

New orders can be placed as early as six weeks before their scheduled pickup or delivery time or as late as four hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery time as long as times are still available.  On delivery or pickup day, a team of personal shoppers shops the aisles of one of seven supermarkets, hand-selecting a customer’s order according to specific instructions provided by the customer.  Those instructions could include, for example, how ripe their bananas should be or how thin their deli meat should be sliced.

Customers who register for Lunds & Byerlys Online Shopping through Oct. 31 are automatically entered into a drawing for all-new Jenn-Air kitchen appliances courtesy of Warners’ Stellian, a year’s worth of groceries or a daily prize of a $100 Lunds & Byerlys gift card.
